An Ode to Tahoe: Fresh Air + Cedar
Winter is in full swing which also puts us right in the middle of candle season. At Le Gaol, we’re big proponents of creating both cozy and inviting atmospheres through the art of aroma. Home sweet home
In Redfin’s blog post, Bretton shares the nostalgia that his favorite winter aroma provides. Being born and raised in Tahoe, he was fortunate to have the snow-capped Sierras, the deep-blue lake waters, and beautiful scenery the region is known for as his norm. Fast forward to present day life in the Bay Area, he’s since traded mountainside forest landscapes for Silicon Valley views, but all of his childhood core memories remain with him. Fortunately enough there are only a few hours that separate us from the slopes, but during the winter season especially, the distance can feel exponentially greater given the stark seasonal differences across each region.
With snow-covered trails just outside his doorstep along with historic views just a quick drive away at resorts like Palisades Tahoe, it becomes easy to see why these memories would become permanently ingrained into one’s senses. But when we’re not able to make it up to Lake Tahoe, Bretton feels right at home with a Fresh Air + Cedar candle, beautifully embodying his winter childhood memories.
